This wednesday marked two weeks in Mexico. So much has happened that I really don't know where to begin so I have decided to show you what a day at the gateway in Mexico looks like...
7am - team exercise, this can look like anything from jogging to basketball to yoga
8am - breakfast time
- valerie making some breakfast, notice our spanish corn flakes :)
9 am - Tuesdays and Thursdays we have ministry where we go to different places like a children's home or help with construction at a mission training institute.
Monday, Wednesday and Friday we have practical training at the base i.e. language studies, first aid training
this was our Spanish class today, at the end Erin read us a childrens book to us to see if we understood :)
12 noon - lunch time
1pm - free time

2 pm - ministry with our host families (each group has been set up with a local family that we visit with, build relationships and help in anyway.

5 pm - team check-in - we sit down with our team and see how everyone is doing

6pm dinner time
eating our yummy Mexican food!
7pm free time
hanging out, catching up on some reading assignments, playing games etc
this is the base so you can see we have lots of room to run around and be crazy ;)
girls and guys rooms are on the right and the dinning room, kitchen and meeting room are in the building with the tower
8 pm - teaching/session
in the 'ice box' ready to learn (it is the only air-conditioned room and it's amazing!)
10 pm - free time/bed time

God has been challenging me in alot of areas and growing me tonz too and I am really excited to see what he has in store next. I will write again soon to tell you more about what He is doing in my life. Thank you for all the prayers and support!
