Our team has decided to read through
the bible in 4 months before we leave and come home. It has been
quite challenging as we normally have 10-15 chapters to read a day
but it has been great reading it with a community at the same time so
that we can discuss it together.

One of the questions we talked about
last night was whether or not Jesus would have made offerings for
un-cleanliness. Because by simply touching certain animals, dead
people, even touching things that unclean people had touched made you
unclean. So we talked about how Jesus was under the law and fulfilled
it so maybe he made offerings for being unclean but He is Jesus so
was He ever unclean? We have had some good conversations and it has
made us think about stuff we never have before.

Reading Leviticus, Numbers and
Deuteronomy about all the laws and the practices of all the offerings
that had to be made has helped me to remember even more what Jesus
did for me and for you and what He saved us from!

It makes me think of the beautiful
thing that He gave us called GRACE!!!

Romans 3:22-24 This righteousness is
given through FAITH in Jesus Christ to all who believe. For all have
sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his
grace as a GIFT, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

Romans 4:4 Now to the one who WORKS,
his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due.

We are made right with God through
faith in Jesus Christ alone, not by reading our bible, or praying or
caring for orphans. We don’t have to work to be right with God
because when we believe in Jesus that he took our sins and died and
rose again we are not under the law anymore but under GRACE!

2 Corinthians 12:9 But He said to me
“My GRACE is SUFFICIENT for you, for my power is made perfect in
weakness!”

Ps Thanx Caleb for drilling this into
me! I love you!

i think Jesus makes the unclean CLEAN instead of vice versa! Just like with Him, YOU are the influence instead of being influenced. Your light is bigger and stronger than any dark place ๐Ÿ™‚
